Indoctrinitis (noun)
[in-dok-truh-nahy-tis]
A contagious plague of emotional avoidance resulting in the gradual collapse of independent thought, personal responsibility, and honest self-reflection.
Commonly spread through institutions, group identity, social conditioning, and the persistent fear of standing apart from the herd.
Symptoms include compulsive agreement, outsourced thinking, performative morality, conflict avoidance, chronic distraction, and the quiet expectation that someone else should probably say something first.
The only disease in which symptoms are rewarded socially.
